What delivery method do you use?

Availability of Products
From time to time products advertised may not be available so an alternative product to the same or more value will be included so as not to delay the delivery of the gift box.
Can I purchase a gift containing alcohol if I am under 18 years of age?
No, both the purchaser and the recipient must be 18 years or over. Gift boxes containing alcohol must be signed for by a person 18 years old or over due to Australian liquor laws.
How are the gift box/es packaged?
Please refer to ABOUT page.
Can I add a message to my gift?
Yes, of course! At the checkout page, there is a window prompt for your personalised gift message, which we will write by hand for your recipient for that extra special touch.
Do you deliver internationally?
Yes, upon request. Each gift must be assessed with regards to any restrictions relevant to the country it is travelling to and its size and weight to determine delivery cost. So please contact us by email susan@cocoongiftboxes.com to make arrangements.

Delivery Information

Cocoon Gift Boxes will always honour its obligations under Australian Consumer Law.

FREE STANDARD DELIVERY WITHIN AUSTRALIA

Cocoon Gift Boxes uses a combination of courier and postal services including Australia Post for our deliveries.

Standard: FREE (via Australia Post) – Approximately 5 working days for delivery ( Monday to Friday)

All delivery times are approximate and may be influenced by conditions beyond our control. Cocoon Gift Boxes will not be held liable for late deliveries. We endeavour to ship your order promptly however if a delay does occur, it is often during transit which is outside of our control. Cocoon Gift Boxes will endeavour to deliver your gift box within five working days (Monday to Friday), excluding public holidays from the date that the order was submitted by you. Australia Post delivery times vary depending on your location within Australia.

EXPRESS DELIVERY WITHIN AUSTRALIA

Express Post: $16.95 (via Australia Post) – Australia Post state 1 to 2 business days for delivery if the address falls within the Australia Post Express Post network.

AUTHORITY TO LEAVE

At the website check out we provide an “authority to leave” so that the gift box can be left at your recipient’s home if unattended or with a colleague/at the reception at their place of work if they are unavailable. The delivery drivers use their discretion when leaving the gift boxes, if they deem it unsafe, or it is unable to be delivered due to security gates and similar, then a card will be left to collect the gift box from their local post office or agent, or in some cases, redelivery is arranged.

The exception to this is for parcels containing alcohol as these gifts must be signed for due to Australian liquor laws.

If you give an “authority to leave” Cocoon Gift Boxes is not responsible for the loss or damage of goods once delivery is complete.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

HOSPITAL DELIVERY

It is a lovely way to show someone you care with a “get well soon” or “thinking of you” gift or to welcome a new baby, for example. With any hospital delivery, the instructions must be very thorough, including the relevant wing, ward, room number, etc. If the recipient has been discharged from the hospital before the gift arrives it is not the responsibility of Cocoon Gift Boxes to cover the cost of redelivery. Please ensure your recipient will be there to receive their gift.

TIP: Alternatively you may wish to consider having your gift, welcoming a new baby, delivered directly to the recipient’s home. Hospital stays for delivery of a baby are usually quite short so it can be difficult to time the gift delivery for when the mother and baby are still in the hospital. If they have already been discharged when the gift is delivered to the hospital it would necessitate extra cost to the client for the re-delivery to the recipient’s home address. It also saves the worry of transporting baby, mother and gifts home from the hospital. However, should you wish to have a hospital gift box delivery we would, of course, be more than happy to accommodate your wishes.

ALCOHOL

Under Australian law we are only able to sell gift boxes containing alcohol to persons over the age of 18yo.

DAMAGED ITEMS

Cocoon Gift Boxes will arrange for a replacement item to be sent to you at no charge. Cocoon Gift Boxes must be advised within 48 hours of receipt of the gift with details of the damage.

LIABILITY

We are not liable for any issues associated with third-party providers, you are bound by their terms of service. With respect to the use of courier and postal services, there may be rare instances where due to unforeseen circumstances a gift is not delivered on time, is lost, or it arrives damaged from transit. In these circumstances, we are not liable however we will endeavour to address your concern. Be assured that we take great care in ensuring our gifts are packaged safely and securely.

If your order is not delivered on your preferred delivery date, we are unable to cancel your order or credit your transaction.
